I had an hour long Thai massage with oil and it was a wonderful experience. It was my first Thai massage, and it felt like a combination between a post work-out assisted sports stretch, a deep tissue massage and a relaxing massage. Kitty, my therapist, was professional and friendly. She checked throughout the massage to see if the pressure, angles, and heat levels were okay with me. I left feeling like a wrung out towel, in the best of ways. There was minor discomfort as she worked through the large muscles and massaged my tightest areas, but this is normal and I felt wonderful afterwards. It was a good value for the price, the environment is calming, and I will happily go back.
Honestly such a good experience. The place feels super calming as soon as you walk in and the staff are really friendly. No. Thai massage should not be painful. Traditionally Thai massage is done with light stretching and pulling but we do not believe in "more pain more gain" as there is no scientific backing to this. We adjust the pressure exactly to your liking ands make sure we're informed about your preferences before starting. Communication is key to a great massage.
